Siobhan Atkins - Administrator

Hello! My name is Siobhan and I've worked here for almost two and a half years now.  I look after the accounts, financial reporting, salaries and lots of other diverse and wonderful things.  Pictured with me is Burt my husband and Finley my beautiful son.  Kilcranny is a great place to be and work but the only way of knowing is to visit, so get down here and I'll put on the kettle!

Lyn Moffett - Coordinator (pictured in centre)

My name is Lyn Moffett and I’m the Coordinator at Kilcranny House.  I am responsible for the day-to-day management of the centre, fundraising and project development, as well as recruitment, marketing and networking.

I am a graduate of Manchester University, where I read English Language and Literature, and worked in administration, management and education.  I worked at the University of Ulster for 11 years prior to taking up this post at Kilcranny, focusing on community relations, conflict resolution and ethnicity.

I have two grown up children and two cats, and am interested in theatre, archaeology, reading and cookery.  I read for the Talking Newspapers for the Blind and volunteer for ‘front of house’ duties at the Riverside Theatre.  My other hobbies include failing to lose weight and avoiding exercise.

Rachel Rafferty - Community Liaison Worker

Hello, my name is Rachel Rafferty and I am the Community Liaisons Worker at Kilcranny House. I will be involved in Schools and Community-based projects aimed at increasing respect for diversity in Northern Ireland, improving communication and understanding between different groups, and building trust between individuals and communities.

I grew up in Coleraine (though really I am a blow-in born in Belfast!) and I am living here again after eight years away. In my ‘gap years’ I lived in Scotland, Spain, Taiwan, and Nicaragua – quite a mixed bag. In my spare time I write short stories so I am particularly interested in story-telling as a tool to bring people together and as a way of resolving our shared past so we can let it be the past
