Our Shared History

We are pleased to announce the launch of our local history art exhibition on Tuesday 15th June, 1-2pm in Coleraine Town Hall (buffet lunch provided).  The exhibition will run from 15th to 19th June. It is the result of project work by children from Killowen and St John's Primary Schools to show how young people from diffferent traditions can explore local history together and celebrate the community where they live side by side.

Come along to Coleraine Town Halll on Wednesday 16th June at 7.30pm for a local history and reminiscences evening ( in association with Killowen Community Association).  Look at old photos and share memories of a unique neighbourhood with people who have lived there all their lives.

Take part in a historical treasure hunt on Thursday 17th June at 7:30pm.  This is for groups of young people aged 12 to 16 only.  The meeting point is Coleraine Town Hall.  This will involve a walking tour of the Heights and Killowen area to pick up clues.  Each group of young people will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult and needs to contact us in advance to register for a place in  the competition.
